Emil Visser - USN

BIOGRAPHY

Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me’. This has been a motto of mine for most of my life, and one of the things that have helped me tremendously throughout my USN Body Makeover Challenge.

I was blessed to grow up in the perfect supportive family. At school, I did all sorts of sports, although I was overweight for my age. Even in my early 20’s, I played rugby here and there, but my health was not something that I was focused on. My focus was put more to socializing, parties and enjoying life with my friends.

In November 2016 I got married to my beautiful wife and told her that something must change with my lifestyle immediately because I’m overweight and do not feel as healthy as I should. My weight at that time was 118kg. For me, takeaways were my go-to meal and easy to get hold of because my work involves being on the road every day.

I knew that if I want a healthier lifestyle and body, I need to change it immediately and that it was not going to be easy. I started exercising and making healthier meal choices, but it was still not getting me where I wanted to be.

In January 2018 my journey started with USN when I made a new year’s resolution and purchased my USN Body Makeover Challenge starter kit.

Starting the USN Body Makeover Challenge journey I was determined to put in the hard work, perseverance and make sure I eat according to the meal plans provided and exercise enough to reach my goals.

I stopped sleeping in and started getting up at 04h30 every morning to start my day with abdominal exercises. In the evening was weight training. Weekends I participated in trail running events. I kept my exercise plans interesting and fun to do. Sundays were for prepping the weeks’ meals. It’s way easier to stay on the eating plan when you have ready-made meals for the week. To this day I’m still in this routine and I love it. If you enjoy what you are doing, then it makes it so much easier to do.

This journey wasn’t easy every day, but I was focused on the goals. On bad days I told myself to Re-set, Re-adjust, Re-start, Re-focus; as many times as I needed to, and not to quit.

Every week I was measured, I was surprised at the results and that made every week much easier. I had one goal and that was to be better as the day before. At the end of week 12, I lost 23kg and 87cm overall.

20 months later and I’ve lost 35.7kg and 19% body fat and I’m still going strong every day. This was not only a challenge anymore, but a new lifestyle.

Having gone through this lifestyle transformation, was the beginning of big things to come and made me realize that nothing is impossible. (Philippians 4:13 ‘I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me’).

I am a new human being, with a new mindset and goals on life and health. My journey has just begun. I highly recommend USN supplements to every person who wants to make a lifestyle transformation, because these products are top of its class, with no empty promises and no side-effects and are easy and safe to use.

I’m blessed by all the support I’ve received and the people who helped me through this USN Body Makeover Journey. I’m looking forward to a bright and healthy future and new goals.
