I’ve been training at Oxigym in Mosselbay for the past 3 years, getting up at 5am every day for an hour’s training at the gym. I heard about the USN Challenge and decided I wanted to do it – I wanted to have a six pack at the age of 45!
My personal trainer developed a training and eating plan for me and I started the Challenge in July 2017. It felt like I was back in the army, following a strict eating plan. The physical exercise wasn’t too daunting, but the strict eating plan was something to get used to again! The USN products helped me to have the energy levels I needed to train often and to recover faster.
After the 12 week Challenge I was rather tired but looked & felt great. I took a week off but then realized I’m not going to give it all up again, I was rather going to make it my new lifestyle. I took a break from the training plan in December 2017 but started training hard again in January. Perhaps too hard as I hurt my back and had to undergo a back operation at the end of January. Shortly thereafter I was told to send in photos of myself from which the Top 10 would be chosen. I was still eating correctly and using USN supplements so those 3 weeks to get ‘photo ready’ wasn’t too bad!
A few weeks later I was chosen as a Top 10 Finalist. It changed by life! If I didn’t do the USN Challenge I wouldn’t have known how to eat & supplement correctly. My tip to you: Get your ducks in a row, start eating healthy, train regularly and supplement with USN!
